Our Access to Higher Education Diploma has been designed for individuals who may not have achieved qualifications at school and want to boost their opportunities.

Course Overview

  • This course is designed for adult learners who want to gain a recognised qualification, build subject knowledge, and progress to university even if they did not achieve qualifications at school.
  • There are two diplomas available at Bury College. They’re each made up of subject specific modules that meet university entry requirements. They also provide support to develop key study skills such as academic writing, referencing, computer skills, and university application guidance.
  • Upon successful completion of the 60 credit diploma it can lead to university study in areas including health professions, social work and care, psychology, sociology, and criminology. With the opportunity to study GCSE Maths alongside the course.
