Nursing Associate: University of Salford (FdSc/Lvl 5)

The Nursing Associate is a highly trained support role designed to deliver effective, safe and responsive nursing care in and across a wide range of health and care settings.

Course Overview

  • This course focuses on developing highly compassionate and quality personnel to provide care under the guidance of a registered nurse or associate. Whilst working as a part of a team designated to deliver patient care. The learning experience is provided through hands on practical experience, driven by purpose, and is performed in state of the art simulation facilities.
  • The first year you will spend 50% of your time at university, studying six modules in total throughout the programme. The first year will comprise of modules such as; Foundations of Health and Wellbeing, Application of Skills to Support Health and Wellbeing 1 and 2. These modules will allow students to develop their professionalism, and interpersonal skills. Whilst finding out more about human anatomy, person-centred care,  and safeguarding.
