HND Computing for England (Software Engineering): Trafford & Stockport College (Full-Time)
This Level 5 HTQ course is designed to equip students with a robust skill set and in-depth knowledge across diverse facets of computing.
Course Overview
- This course builds strong foundations in programming, networking, web design. Before developing advanced skills in the software development lifecycle, coding standards, and debugging.
- You’ll study about effective planning and delivery, and closure of projects within a business context. Whilst gaining practical experience in database design and management through SQL and databases. Alongside developing mathematical knowledge, including discrete mathematics, to support advanced problem-solving, and algorithmic analysis.
- You’ll be able to study on a full time basis, over two years.
- You’ll be assessed by centre-developed internal assignments and Pearson-set assignments, which target industry-specific skills. Units are assessed using a variety of methods including reports, presentations, practical workshops, portfolios, and evidence.
