HND Computing for England (Cyber Security): Trafford & Stockport College (Full-Time)
This HTQ Level 5 course is designed to equip students with a robust skill set and provide in-depth knowledge across diverse facets of computing. Over the two year programme, students will gain a comprehensive and strategic understanding of information security within the context of modern computing environments.
Course Overview
- This course builds strong foundations in programming, networking, and web design. Before developing advanced expertise in information security, risk management, and cloud-based cryptography.
- You’ll study investigative techniques and tools used to identify, preserve, and analyse digital evidence. It also explores the role of information security within wider business processes; helping students understand how technology supports organisational workflows and operational effectiveness.
- You’ll be able to study on a full time basis, over two years.
- You’ll be assessed by centre-developed internal assignments and Pearson-set assignments, which target industry-specific skills. Units are assessed using a variety of methods including reports, presentations, practical workshops and portfolios and evidence.
