HNC Building Services Engineering for England (Electrical): Trafford & Stockport College (Part-Time)
This course focuses on the design, installation and maintenance of electrical systems within buildings, of which reliable and efficient electrical systems form a crucial part. This includes power distribution, lighting, fire alarms and security systems and building automation with the aim of ensuring that buildings meet safety standards and support their functionality.
Course Overview
- This course introduces electrical Building Services Engineering, covering the design, installation, and maintenance of building electrical systems. While developing the technical and transferable skills needed to work effectively as a senior technician.
- You’ll develop and design, electrical, energy, and engineering skills in building services. This will include electrical systems, motors, heat transfer, BIM, and site management. Whilst being underpinned by strong scientific, mathematical, analytical knowledge for safe, compliant, and effective building design and delivery.
- You’ll be assessed using a variety of methods including preparation of reports, delivery of presentations, demonstration of skills in practical workshops, experiments, portfolios and the collation of evidence.
- You’ll be able to study on a full time basis (1 Year) or a part time basis (2 Years).
