FdSc Assistant Practitioner Health and Social Care: Trafford & Stockport College (Part-Time)

This Foundation Degree and Higher Technical Qualification is suitable for both new recruits and more experienced assistant and support workers in health, social and community care.

Course Overview

  • This programme supports new and experienced health and social care workers to develop skills for NHS Band 3 and 4 roles. Alongside 200 hours of work-based learning each year completed alongside paid or voluntary employment.
  • You’ll develop academic, professional,  and leadership skills. Whilst experiencing work-based learning, essential sciences, person-centred care, public health, and professional practice modules. That will prepare you for safe, effective, and compassionate practice in health and social care settings.
  • You’ll be able to study on a full time basis, over two years.
  • These modules are assessed through course work and work-based learning. A variety of learning opportunities are offered including practical activities, role plays, work-based learning, written assignments, presentations and reflective portfolios.
