  • This top-up degree is ideal for aspiring engineers who want to specialise in power engineering. You’ll deepen your knowledge in areas such as electrical machines, energy systems, and power electronics. While enhancing your problem-solving, project management and critical thinking skills. It’s designed for adult learners balancing study with other commitments, with a part-time schedule that supports working professionals and career changers.
  • Within this course you’ll complete a  Professional Engineering Project with specialist modules across the two years. This will give you a vast understanding of these modules; Circuits, Networks and Electromagnetic Waves, Control Engineering, Fundamentals of Electrical Machines including generation, transmission and distribution plant,  and Power Electronics.
  • You’ll be assessed by a combination of written assignments, presentations, exams, practical and project-based work. The Professional Engineering Project is studied across both years and forms the core element of the final assessment.
