Course Overview

  • This course is designed for those that want to progress into technical and managerial roles within the design and build side of the construction industry. It develops a strong understanding of how construction projects are planned, designed, and delivered. It focuses on real-world application, sustainability, and modern construction methods. It is delivered with flexibility with September and January start dates.
  • This course includes modules such as project management, advanced construction drawing and detailing, sustainable construction methods, complex building technology, maintenance and operations, and conservation surveying. Through group projects and professional development, the modules are designed to build leadership, decision-making, and practical skills, preparing you to tackle real-world challenges and succeed in the construction sector.
  • You’ll study 2 evenings per week for 2 years. This part-time format is designed to work alongside your job or personal commitments.
  • You’ll be assessed through practical and work focused exercises, combining written assignments, case studies, and project work. All assessments are internally set and marked to reflect industry tasks. To ensure you develop real-world skills that are valued by employers.
