Won the Keith Fletcher Access to HE Memorial Prize 2021-22
Bury College Access to Higher Education student Kelly Doran won the Keith Fletcher Access to HE Memorial Prize 2021-22 in the category of Outstanding Commitment to Study. This prestigious award recognises and celebrates students for incredible achievements in their studies and education.
Kelly won the award due to displaying incredible commitment throughout her time on the Access to Higher Education: Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions Pathway course despite suffering a terrible personal loss.
Kelly trained with the University of Salford at Bury College’s new Health and Digital Centre. Her first year of Adult Nursing is developed by Bury College in partnership with the University of Salford and taught by university staff on the college campus. Kelly is currently undertaking her second and third year at the main university campus.
